United Arab Emirates has scored an overall screen time score of 8.37 / 10, ranking 1st in the study. Around 99% of the population use the internet, spending an average of 7hrs 29mins online daily. The research revealed:
- Indonesia has been named the country using mobile phones for internet usage the most, with 63.4% of all internet usage being carried out on these devices. Following behind in second and third place are Thailand and India at 62.8% and 61.4% respectively.
Further findings also revealed:
- United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, and Norway all have the highest percentage of internet users, with 99% of their populations using the internet.
- South Africa spends more time on the internet than any other country, averaging 9 hours and 38 minutes per day.
- India uses the most social media platforms each month, with an average of 8.7 platforms used.
