A Conversation With Maryia Oayda

The best part of my job is that I get to meet a lot of interesting people from across the world and hear their inspiring stories. Yesterday, I caught up with the affable, enthusiastic, and full of beans, Maryia Oayda on a Zoom call.

Maryia has a Cinderella-like story. Born and studied in Belarus, she majored in criminal psychology. She even frequented jails to study and understand the psychology of prisoners.

Armed with a degree, she ventured out to Thailand and her first job with a real estate agency. After closing a few high-value deals, she moved on to Malaysia to pursue a career in journalism. Her work assignment involved interviewing business leaders in Far East Asia and the Middle East region for a publishing organisation. There she did over 600 interviews and expanded her confidence, knowledge, and her network.

Fast forward to 2020. As fate willed, she decided to turn an entrepreneur and use her life’s learnings and business contacts to venture into coaching for individuals and corporates. In her words, “Every person is unique and has his/her strengths.” Her coaching program is called ‘Human Q Method’. Essentially, she helps people realize their strengths and channel them in their professional workplace to transform their level of efficiency. All she requires is people to have an open mind and a willingness to learn, as a pre-requisite for registering for her courses which span anywhere from 4 weeks to 3 months.

Based on the number of testimonials on her website, Maryia has helped several executives from the region achieve radical personal and professional transformation.

Maryia is also an accomplished violinist and strums the guitar. Love for music taught her to develop the areas of the brain related to language and reasoning. She puts this skill set to good use in her business!
